Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Seoul International Gastric Cancer Forum 2026.
This year’s Forum is hosted by the Korean Laparoendoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Study Group (KLASS), organized by Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), and supported by the Korean Foundation for Cancer Research (KFCR). On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to extend our warmest welcome and sincere appreciation to all of you for joining us.
Since its inception, the Seoul International Gastric Cancer Forum has served as an important platform for clinicians and researchers from Korea and abroad to exchange knowledge, share new ideas, and discuss advances in gastric cancer research and treatment.
Gastric cancer management continues to evolve rapidly, with progress extending across surgery, systemic therapy, translational research, and perioperative care. Reflecting these changes, this year’s scientific program covers a broad range of contemporary topics, including neoadjuvant treatment for resectable advanced gastric cancer, emerging translational and experimental research, recent advances in minimally invasive gastrectomy, multidisciplinary
treatment of stage IV disease, and function-preserving surgery and perioperative care.
The program brings together perspectives from surgery, medical oncology, pathology, and basic and translational research. Through lectures and in-depth discussions, we hope to examine current evidence, address areas of ongoing controversy, and explore how recent scientific and technological advances can be translated into better treatment strategies and outcomes for patients with gastric cancer.
We are privileged to welcome distinguished experts from Korea and abroad, both in person and online, as speakers, chairpersons, and discussants. We sincerely thank all of them for sharing their expertise and contributing to the scientific exchange that makes this Forum meaningful.
The program will also include the Jin-Pok Kim’s Award for the Best Cancer Research in Korea, recognizing outstanding achievements in cancer research.
We hope that today’s Forum will provide a valuable opportunity for active discussion, exchange of ideas, and future collaboration, and that all of you will enjoy the program.
Once again, we warmly welcome you to the Seoul International Gastric Cancer Forum 2026.
